Even More Bad ASS!

We’ve been shipping the Bad ASS Controller for about a year and a half and it’s found its way into tons of escape rooms as a standard product. It has also found its way into museums, restaurants, custom props, and other not so escape room locations. We are pretty proud of what it’s done and where they have ended up.

Hire an Escape Room Builder?

Many escape room owners and new investors ask themselves the question, “Should I hire someone to build my escape room for me or can I do this myself?”. This is an essential choice for an owner or investor and can significantly affect how successful their escape room is in the future.

6 Tech Prop Programming Tips

Programming can be a ton of fun. There is nothing like taking a piece of silicon and telling it what to do with some simple coding. And what could be more fun than building your own game using hobby hardware. It is not a trivial task, and here are some tips to help you get there.

Our Indestructible Knobs are F***ing Great!

Escape rooms are harsh environments for props. We are consistently working hard to help address these problems. As you may know, we entered this industry as an engineering company and so we tend to solve problems from that perspective. We are not limited by thinking about what we can buy off the shelf, repurpose, or adapt. When necessary, we create something new and design it to meet the requirements and specifications we think a product needs. And the Indestructible Knob was born through this process.

Introducing the Bad ASS Controller

Tags: engineering, Escape Rooms, BadASS Controller

How else can I say, it, our Bad ASS Controller is pretty cool. For the last few years, pretty much as soon as we entered the escape room electronics business, we have been focused on networking, room integration, and control as a means to increase the integration of props, reduce wiring, and handle the cases for when things do go wrong. It’s been a solid ride. Additionally, we’ve built lots of games for ER owners and builders. Everything from simple sequence games to integrated, multi-prop, multi-tech, centrally managed rooms. The Bad ASS Controller brings all of this together into a simple web browser interface. That is just badass.

Why Would You Want Room Control Overrides?

Tags: engineering, good tips, Escape Rooms

The fact of the matter is that players can break things, props wear out, puzzles are not reset properly by game masters, and electronics fail (usually due to misuse). Stuff happens even in the best of situations. Rides even fail at Disney and they send out staff to share humorous stories to pass the time - you don’t get that opportunity. We must do our best to prevent game failures.
